A safe space to be seen and heard
You can be supported in processing your trauma in a safe space to be seen and heard. Maybe you'd like to feel calmer and less triggered in your parenting, not worry so much about what others think of you, find more balance in meeting your own needs, figure out better communication skills, or just need someone to talk with who 'gets it'.

FAQ
I work with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting, child and adolescent issues, postpartum support, trauma, and abuse.
All sessions are 50 minutes. My fees are $160 for individuals and $200 for couples. Unfortunately in Australia at this stage, only Psychologists can offer medicare rebates through the mental health care plan. I do not offer any no-fee or bulk billing as I work in Private Practice, you may be able to find this type of service elsewhere in your local area. I understand not everyone is able to afford full fees, you may submit an application for Sliding Scale consideration through this form https://thegentlecounsellor.com/financial-assistance
My in-person sessions are held at my office in Oxenford (Gold Coast, QLD Australia). For privacy reasons, the street address is provided in the pre-appointment reminder email.
Yes. I offer video online sessions through Halaxy Telehealth.
I support clients holistically by incorporating numerous approaches such as Attachment Theory, person-centred, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-informed, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, Gottman, and EMDR. The counselling experience is unique to each client. I prefer to work outside of the medical mental health model.
